The Director of the Institute for Tourism, Dr. Damir Krešić, participated in the UHPA Days, the largest gathering of travel agencies in Croatia, held from March 26 to 28 in Petrčane. The three-day event brought together more than 250 participants who jointly discussed the sector's development perspectives, with a special focus on current trends, competitiveness, and digitalization in tourism.
During the event, Dr. Krešić delivered a lecture on sustainable tourism development in Croatia, followed by a panel discussion on sustainability frameworks and the balance between tourism development and the preservation of identity and resources.The panel also featured Ms. Slavija Jačan Obratov, Director of the Brand and Tourism Product Development Sector at the Croatian National Tourist Board, and Mr. Tomislav Fain, President of UHPA.
