Our colleagues Ivan Sever and Ivan Kožić, in collaboration with Prof. Petar Sorić from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, have explored the relationship between tourism and inflation in Croatia and published a paper titled "Assessing the Tourism-Led Inflation Hypothesis: An Empirical Framework." Their findings confirm that tourism can indeed drive inflation, with a particular emphasis on the significant role of apartments and family accommodation.
