The book Sport Tourism and Local Sustainable Development has been published, to which colleagues from the Institute for Tourism also contributed: Jasenka Kranjčević, PhD with the chapter Traditional Rural Sports and Games: Heritage Research and Development Planning - The Case of Croatia and Josip Mikulić, PhD, in collaboration with colleagues from other faculties, wrote the chapter Characteristics of Sport Event Visitors: The Case of Eurobasket 2015.

The book brought together 24 authors from a number of countries dealing with sports tourism and local sustainable development, with analyzes ranging from specific types of events to theoretical approaches to the role of sports tourism in urban development or digital communication of sporting events as a means of promotion. The book is intended for academic researchers and students interested in sports tourism, sports economics, management and sustainable development, as well as policy makers and professionals tasked with dynamic tools to promote their territory.
