January 2019 – Present Present: Scientific Research Associate for the Institute for Tourism, Zagreb, Croatia
2013 -Present Adjunct Assistant Professor, Department of Biodiversity, Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies, University of Primorska, Koper, Slovenia
January 2008 – Present Conservation Director for the Blue World Institute of Marine Research and Conservation (BWI), Veli Lošinj, Croatia
Research interests
I have two main fields of interest; the science-policy-research interface focussing on the human dimensions of conservation; and, the legal, political and socio-economic process facilitating marine transboundary conservation, with particular interest in the use of soft law mechanisms to integrate with maritime spatial planning.
