Participation in a Conference on Urban and Peri-Urban Nature

At the professional-scientific conference “Maksimalno na strani prirode”, held on 6 March and organized by the JU Priroda Grada Zagreba, Izidora Marković Vukadin and Leona Matotek presented a scientific paper.

The paper, titled “Integration of Nature-Based Solutions into Strategic and Management Documents for Climate Change Adaptation of Urban and Peri-Urban Areas,” examines the role of nature-based solutions in planning climate change adaptation in cities and their peri-urban areas. The study analyses how such solutions can be systematically integrated into strategic and management documents in order to increase the resilience of urban areas to climate risks while simultaneously improving the quality of the urban environment.

The authors of the paper are Izidora Marković Vukadin, Mira Zovko, Leona Matotek, and Hrvoje Mataković.

The paper was prepared within the framework of the internal scientific project Commitment and the NaTour4CChange project, implemented under the Interreg Euro-MED Programme. These projects focus on strengthening capacities for climate change adaptation and on the application of nature-based solutions in spatial management and the development of sustainable tourism.
