On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of its establishment, the Institute for Tourism organized an international scientific conference (International Tourism Conference Dubrovnik), which was held in Dubrovnik from 6th to 9th November 2019. The main subject of this conference was Tourism in the VUCA World: Towards the Era of (ir)responsibility, with the main emphasis on the increasing volatility and uncertainty of all tourism segments whose evolutionary activity requires increasing awareness but also a willingness to change and interventions. The variety of selected scientific topics and interesting presentations made the conference multidisciplinary and highlighted the need to continuously bridge the gap between tourism theory and practice. Keynote speakers were Chris Cooper, Irena Ateljević, Nigel Morgan, Pauline J. Sheldon and Stanislav Ivanov, along with more than 100 participants from over 20 countries around the world. We thank to all conference participants, co-organizers and all other institutions for their support! More information about the scientific conference can be found HERE.
