On Friday, December 20, 2024, the “Sustainable Tourism Development Forum of West Herzegovina County 2024” was held in Ljubuški, organized by the Office of the Government of West Herzegovina County for European Integration, bringing together numerous stakeholders and tourism experts from the Herzegovina region.
At the invitation of the organizers, Dr. sc. Damir Krešić, Director of the Institute for Tourism, delivered a lecture, sharing his experiences, examples of best practices, and guidelines for sustainable tourism development in Croatia and the region. The forum provided an overview of the current state of tourism in Herzegovina, presented new trends and funding opportunities for tourism products, with a special emphasis on positioning Herzegovina as a cycling destination and a hub for digital nomads.
