On July 3, 2025, the Institute for Tourism held the XXVI.Tourism Discussions, this time on the topic Activating Cultural Heritage in Croatian Tourism, as part of the internal scientific project of the same name - AKULTUR, EU Next Generation, NP00.
The introductory presentation showcased the activities and results achieved so far within the project. The panel discussion was organized to enable representatives from different sectors (education, media, culture, tourism, and local government units) to highlight key challenges and share their perspectives on the future presentation of lesser-known heritage.
Panelists included: Prof. Dina Stober, PhD, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek; Maja Peterlić, MSc, editor at Croatian Radio – HR 3; Zrinka Studen, MA, Ministry of Culture and Media, Bjelovar Conservation Department; Nikola Cik, MA in History, Central Podravina Tourist Board; and Ivan Derdić, LLM, Mayor of the Municipality of Peteranec.
The introductory lecture and the discussion were moderated by Associate Professor Jasenka Kranjčević, PhD.
The event opened with an outstanding violin performance of a Mozart sonata by Ana Pešut, MA.
