Invitation to the 29th Tourism Discussions: Climate Change and the Future of the Hotel Industry

Climate change is no longer a challenge of the future – it is already shaping the hotel industry today.

Rising temperatures, increasingly frequent extreme weather events, growing operating costs, and changing guest expectations require new approaches and long-term strategic decisions.

We invite you to join us at the 29th Tourism Discussions, where, together with distinguished Croatian and international experts, we will explore the future of the hotel industry and exchange experiences, best practices, and perspectives from Croatia and abroad.

The panel will bring together leading experts in hospitality, business development, and architecture:

  • Cindy Heo (EHL Hospitality Business School, Switzerland)
  • Burak Baykan (Doğuş Group Croatia)
  • Marko Dabrović (3LHD)

The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Matina Gjurašić, Research Associate at the Institute for Tourism.

If you work in hospitality, tourism, architecture, investment, or the public sector, or if you are interested in the challenges of sustainable development and climate change adaptation, we warmly invite you to join us and take part in the discussion on the future of the Croatian hotel industry.
