On 22-23 October 2026, the conference Culture, Tourism, and Well-being: From Heritage to Healing, organised by the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO), was held in Zagreb. Prof.
Amir Muzur, PhD, presented a paper co-authored with Jasenka Kranjčević, PhD, from the Institute for Tourism, entitled “Cultural Tourism and University: What Can They Do for Each Other?”. The paper explored opportunities for opening universities to the public, using the University of Rijeka’s University Tourism project as an example. By researching their rich heritage, university constituent units could present it to the public.
The conference book of abstracts has been published. The conference was held at the Natural History Museum in Zagreb.
