Dr. Damir Krešić took part in the international scientific conference "11th Advances in Hospitality and Tourism Marketing and Management (AHTMM)," which was held in Mauritius from July 15th to July 19th, 2024. The event was organized by Washington State University and the University of Mauritius.
At the conference, Dr. Krešić presented a paper titled "Bigger crowds, worse experience? An exploratory comparison of tourist satisfaction subject to strong seasonal demand fluctuations in a Mediterranean destination." The study explores the impact of crowds and the broader negative effects of overtourism on the satisfaction of tourists visiting Croatian destinations. The paper's co-authors include Dr. Vjekoslav Bratić from the Institute of Public Finance and Prof. Dr. Josip Mikulić from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb and the Institute for Tourism.
