The new Web of Science Journal Citation Report has been published, and for the first time, our journal, Tourism: An International Interdisciplinary Journal, has been placed in the second quartile (Q2), with an impact factor (IF) of 2.0.
Two weeks ago, the Scopus database ranking was also released, placing us in Q2 as well, with a CiteScore of 3.1.
Thus, the journal ranks first among all Croatian journals in the social sciences and humanities fields, and is increasingly gaining recognition on the international level.
These achievements are particularly noteworthy because we are not part of a large publisher network and we are one of only two journals of this rank in the world that do not charge any fees to authors or readers (Platinum Open Access).
