The Institute for Tourism held on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at the Napredak Cultural Center in Zagreb, the XXVII Tourism Discussions on The Importance of Spatial Data for the Development of Sustainable Tourism.
The panel discussion featured Dr. Ivan Landek (Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets), Petra Grgasović, MEng Arch (Erkon), Dragan Divjak, MSc in Geospatial Technology Management (LIST-LABS), and Josip Karadža, MA Geogr. (SeaCras), moderated by Dr. Luka Valožić from the Institute for Tourism.
The panelists provided the audience with insights into the historical development, current state, trends, and challenges related to the availability and use of modern digital geospatial data in tourism, from both public and private sector perspectives.
Within the framework of sustainable tourism development, the internal scientific project COMMITMENT – Effectiveness of Adaptation and Mitigation Measures for Climate Change in Tourism was also presented to the public.
