The Institute for Tourism Library, as part of the e-University project: Digital Transformation of Higher Education in the Republic of Croatia (NPOO), is becoming part of the cloud-based digital platform for library services, ALMA, and the Primo VE Discovery Service, which provide users with unified access to print and digital materials as well as to subscribed and open-access electronic resources. The new Croatian cloud-based library system, named Bukinet, functionally connects the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) and 82 major Croatian university, higher education, and specialized libraries into a shared network of libraries that have recognized contemporary user needs and joined the project. The system also enables direct access to digital materials and fast digital interlibrary delivery of articles or chapters from scholarly books from Croatia and abroad (RapidILL). The new Alma/Primo VE digital library platform will significantly facilitate learning and research processes and improve the overall user experience in accessing library materials and services.
