Snježana Boranić Živoder, PhD, from the Institute for Tourism, presented current tourism trends and new opportunities for destination development at the MUNLI 2026 conference, with a particular focus on the potential of continental Croatia and the development of sustainable, year-round tourism offerings.
Following the presentation, a panel discussion was held featuring Šime Klarić, President of the National Association of Family-Run and Small Hotels, Sanja Škrinjar, Director of the Krapina-Zagorje County Tourist Board, and Dr. Jasenka Kranjčević, PhD, from the Institute for Tourism.
The discussion provided an opportunity to exchange expert perspectives on the development potential of Croatian tourism and the importance of strengthening sustainable tourism offerings throughout the year.
