For the next few weeks we will be introducing our keynote speakers for the Women in Tourism Conference which is scheduled to take place in Split, Croatia from 19th -21st of April 2023.
This week we are introducing dr. Stroma Cole (University of Westminster/Equality in Tourism), our keynote speaker and one of the conference co-organizers. With research interests in gender, responsible tourism development, and the links between gender, tourism, the SDGs and Human Rights (particularly to water), Stroma is an activist researcher critiquing the consequences of tourism development. In her keynote, Stroma will address following: Gender Equality and Tourism: Beyond Empowerment, Transforming Tourism - the Importance of a Feminist Lens, Transforming Gender Relations in Destinations and Tourism Organizations.
