A round table dedicated to gastronomy was held as part of the 9th EUSAIR Forum

During the 9th EUSAIR Forum, which is being held in Šibenik, the round table Preservation and Promotion of the Mediterranean Diet in the Adriatic and Ionian Region - Well-being, Sustainability and Culture was organized by the Forum of Adriatic-Ionian Chambers of Commerce (Forum AIC). and cities (FAIC) with the task of laying the foundations for an integrated and collaborative approach to promoting sustainable food models respecting the environment and health. On behalf of the Institute for Tourism dr. sc. Sanela Grujo Vrklan took part in the round table and spoke about the importance and role of food in the development of rural tourism, the EUSAIR gastro-tourism manual, and the challenge of the sustainability of the Mediterranean diet due to the increasing number of workers with different cultural habits. The round table was moderated by Alma Harašić Bremec (Head of the Association Of Chefs From Mediterranean), and the other panelists were Lindita Elezi (Marche Region Councillor), Joze Tomaš (President of Split Chamber of Economy, Vice-President of Forum AIC) and Vesna Milanović (Representative of Educational-Experimental Agricultural Company "Pasquale Rosati").
