Leona Matotek Participated in the Rural History 2025 Conference in Portugal

Leona Matotek took part in the international scientific conference Rural History 2025, the 7th biennial conference of the European Rural History Organisation (EURHO), held in Coimbra, Portugal, from 9 to 12 September 2025. The conference was organized by the University of Coimbra and brought together nearly 500 researchers from 40 countries across various academic disciplines.

Together with Jasenka Kranjčević and Luka Valožić, Leona presented the paper Adapting the rural built environment: repurposing corncribs as cultural heritage in Croatia within the framework of the AKULTUR project. The presentation focused on the repurposing of corncribs as part of Croatia’s cultural heritage, with a particular emphasis on their adaptation for tourism purposes.
