Neven Ivandić participated in the 65th ERSA Congress, entitled Global Challenges and Regional Responses in a Transition Era, held in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 25 to 28 August 2026.
The congress brought together numerous scientists, researchers, and experts in the fields of regional science, economics, development, and public policy, providing an opportunity for knowledge exchange and discussions on current global challenges and regional responses in a period of social, economic, and spatial transformation.
As part of the congress, on 27 August 2026, Neven Ivandić chaired session S74 – Tools for Measuring Regional Tourism Flows (RP), dedicated to methods and tools for measuring and analysing regional tourism flows.
He also presented the joint scientific paper Economic Contributions of Tourism: From National to Regional Analysis, co-authored by N. Ivandić and I. Kožić. The paper focuses on analysing the economic contributions of tourism, with particular emphasis on extending the analysis from the national to the regional level.
