Panel Discussion “Enhancing the Competitiveness of Tourist Destinations” Held as Part of the KOTUR Project

A panel discussion titled “Enhancing the Competitiveness of Tourist Destinations” was held at Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega as part of the KOTUR project, funded through the NextGenerationEU programme.

The discussion brought together more than 270 participants attending both in person and online, including representatives of the academic and professional communities, the tourism sector, various institutions, and students.

The panel was moderated by Katarina Štavlić, with contributions from Izidora Marković Vukadin, Kristina Bučar, Aljuš Pertinač, Tomislav Galić, and Ena Pandžić.

The discussion addressed topics including sustainable tourism development, destination management, the application of artificial intelligence and new technologies, and the quality of tourism offerings.

The KOTUR project continues to connect science and practice and to develop evidence-based recommendations aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of Croatian tourist destinations.
