Our colleague, Ives Vodanović Lukić, PhD, was a guest on COSMO, a programme of the German public broadcaster WDR, where she discussed current challenges facing Croatian tourism.
During the interview, she addressed the impact of tourism on the quality of life of local residents, the social effects of tourism pressure on destinations, and the importance of involving local communities in tourism development planning.
She also discussed the participatory approach to tourism development, drawing on the example of the international People Powered Tourism project, in which the Institute for Tourism is a partner.
