Strategy development was divided into several stages. The first stage comprised the preparatory work for the project and and analysis of the existing planning documntes pertaining to the project area. The next stage comprised the collestoin and analysis of all relevant and other dta, field visits and workshops with interest groups. During this stage two workshop were also held on the topics concernin the current state of tourism in Lipik and Pakrac, this is, on advantages and drawbacks and on possibilities and restrictions for development. The third stage, comprised the analysis and interpretation of the results of workshops held and fiels visits undertaken and an analysis of secondary data. The last stage of the study development consisted of the completion of the study, periodic consultations with holder of tourism development, analyses of the all started and ongoing tourism projects in this area and of the develoment of an action plan. The study pointed out to a long history in tourism, potentional tourist attractions, but also to problems which are currently limiting the use of these rich attractions and resoruces. The second part of the project were a series of workshops. The workshops were a combination of lectures and active participation of participants in solving specifis problems. Workshops were devided into two parts. The first part of a workshop consisted of lectures, shile the second part has participants interactively participate in solving specific problems after which good practice examples from around the world were presented. Workshops were completed at the end of February of 2013, with a total of 15 workshops held. These workshops provided the participants with a wide range of knowledge of different aspects of tourism that can be of held in their everyday work.
