The project included an analysis of the basic characteristics of the city of Osijek and the characteristics of tourism trends, including an analysis of accommodation capacities, tourist demand, resources, attractions, and trends in the tourism market. The results of the analyses were summarized in a SWOT matrix. The following are strategic guidelines for tourism development and tourism marketing guidelines. The project concludes with an action plan that lists projects in the domain of creating a supportive environment, improving tourism products, market communication, and destination management. Two strategic workshops with stakeholders were conducted for the purposes of the project. The document covers topics that provide valuable information for creating a Destination Management Plan.
