The Strategy of Tourism Development of Croatia until 2020. positioned health tourism as one of the country's potentially most important tourism products. Its significance is additionally amplified by the fact it is offered throughout the country and during the entire year, thus spreading tourism activity to continental regions and decreasing seasonality of tourism activity. Based on the analysis of Croatia's current competitive position as a wellness, spa and medical tourism destination, the Action Plan proposes their vision, goals and development concept, as well as activities, measures and projects which need to be implemented. Financing of projects from EU structural funds is ascertained.
