The project included an analysis of the basic characteristics of the city of Osijek and the characteristics of tourism trends, including an analysis of accommodation capacities, tourist demand, tourism resources and attractions, as well as trends in the tourism market. The results of the analyses are summarized in a SWOT matrix. This is followed by strategic guidelines for tourism development and guidelines for tourism marketing. The project concludes with an action plan outlining projects in the areas of creating a stimulating environment, enhancing tourism products, market communication, and destination management. For the project’s purposes, two strategic workshops with stakeholders were conducted. The document covers topics that provide quality information for the preparation of the Destination Management Plan.
